This double-storey character house is located 5 minutes ride from thebeaches of Klong Nin. The house is situated on a beautiful valley-side, andsurrounded by lush jungle with a mountain view. It’s away from the touristichustle and bustle of the main road and waterfront, though still close enough towalk to the beaches, shops and restaurants

The property consists of two floors. The upper floor has two good sizeddouble bedrooms, a bathroom with a hot shower, and a decent kitchen space whichopens out onto the huge white tiled balcony/veranda, which boasts an incredibleview of the mountains and natural surroundings.

The downstairs is currently used as a completely self-containedair-conditioned apartment. It consists of one large double bedroom, a separatefitted kitchen, and a large bathroom with another hot shower. Glass Frenchdoors cover the entire front of this floor, with mosquito-net sliding doorsalso fitted (here and elsewhere throughout the property), so you can keep thedoors and windows open to enjoy the valley side breezes.

All the ceilings have recently been replaced with durable materials. Arain-water capture system was also installed this year, with a 10 yearguarantee. Fibre-optic internet to the house has also been installed. There aretwo water tanks with an automatic pump installed to provide good water pressurethroughout the property (Monthly water cost is approx. 650B – during the rainyseason the cost is hugely reduced thanks to the rain capturesystem). Both bathrooms have hot showers and western-style toilets. There is anelectric meter installed (bills run to around 750B per month). The propertycomes furnished, so is ready for you to move in and enjoy immediately!

Our neighbours are a retired Englishman, Steve, and his lovely Thai wifeJoy (who owns the land), and were the previous owners of the property. They havelived here for 12 years, and Joy also owns the well–known Lanta Leather shop inOld Town, and they are well established in the community. And, as is customarywith the Thai way of doing things, they will be more than happy to help youwith paperwork, communicating with officials, and will provide whatever helpthey can (including the occasional delicious curry). They make excellentneighbours, and can help link you with the local Expat and Thai communities.

 There are plenty of local amenitiesincluding ATMs, a 7-11, Tesco, plus a local market on Tuesdays and Fridays foryour groceries, and plenty of bars and restaurants in the area.

It is perfect for a retired couple, digital nomads, or a Swedish family. Italso has excellent potential for long-term lettings if you only use it for partof the year.

The sale also includes 520 square metres of land upon which the house islocated, along with a 90 year lease (3x30 years, already paid and included inthe sale price). Such a long term lease is quite unusual, and shows thefriendly attitude of the land owner. It is also written into her will that herson will uphold the same terms of the lease..

We have poured a lot of love into this property when we bought it two yearsago, and we’ll be very sad to let it go. We are planning to move back to Europe, as we arewanting to start a family and would like to get back before Brexit, which is why we are looking for a quick sale.
